قَالَ [عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ] : قَرَأْتُ عَلَى أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ (١) يَعْنِي الْخَيَّاطَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: كَانَ تَحْتِي امْرَأَةٌ، كَانَ عُمَرُ يَكْرَهُهَا، فَقَالَ لِي (٢) أَبِي: طَلِّقْهَا، قُلْتُ: لَا فَأَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَأَخْبَرَهُ، فَدَعَانِي فَقَالَ: " عَبْدَ اللهِ، طَلِّقِ امْرَأَتَكَ " قَالَ: فَطَلَّقْتُهَا (٣)،
Translation
English translation
Narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the wife I had was disliked by Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). He said to me, "Divorce her." I hesitated in divorcing her, so Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to me:.
