حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقُرَشِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ عِنْدَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، فَجَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ: مِمَّنْ أَنْتَ؟ قَالَ:، ، مِنْ أَسْلَمَ، قَالَ: أَلَا أُبَشِّرُكَ يَا أَخَا أَسْلَمَ؟ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " غِفَارٌ غَفَرَ اللهُ لَهَا، وَأَسْلَمُ سَالَمَهَا اللهُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
Saeed bin Amr, may Allah have mercy on him, says that once I was sitting with Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, when a man came. He asked him, "Which tribe do you belong to?" He replied, "To the tribe of Aslam." Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, said: "O Aslami brother! Shall I not give you glad tidings? I heard the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say: 'The tribe of Ghifar—may Allah forgive it, and the tribe of Aslam—may Allah keep it safe.'"
