Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: " كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُخْرَجُ مَعَهُ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ بِعَنَزَةٍ، فَيَرْكُزُهَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ، فَيُصَلِّي إِلَيْهَا " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that on the day of Eid al-Fitr, the spear of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) used to be brought out, and the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) would plant the spear as a sutrah and perform the prayer.
