English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) took Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) with him and went to the date-palm garden where Ibn Sayyad used to live. When the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) entered the garden, he began to walk while hiding behind the branches. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) wanted to quietly go and listen to some of Ibn Sayyad's words before he saw the Noble Prophet (ﷺ). At that time, Ibn Sayyad was lying on his bed wrapped in a sheet, murmuring something. Ibn Sayyad's mother saw the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) coming, taking cover behind the branches and twigs, so she immediately called out, "Safiy (that was his name), Muhammad (ﷺ) is coming!" As soon as he heard this, he jumped up. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "If that woman had left him (and had not informed him of my coming), he would surely have revealed his reality."
