حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ: " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا جَلَسَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ وَضَعَ يَدَيْهِ عَلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ، وَرَفَعَ أُصْبُعَهُ الْيُمْنَى الَّتِي تَلِي الْإِبْهَامَ، فَدَعَا بِهَا، وَيَدُهُ الْيُسْرَى عَلَى رُكْبَتِهِ (١) ، بَاسِطَهَا عَلَيْهَا " (٢)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) sat in Tashahhud, he would place both his hands on both his knees, raise the finger next to the thumb, supplicate, and spread his left hand over his left knee.
