حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عُقَيْلٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَامَ يَخْطُبُ فَقَالَ: " أَلَا وَإِنَّ الْفِتْنَةَ هَاهُنَا مِنْ حَيْثُ يَطْلُعُ قَرْنُ الشَّيْطَانِ " يَعْنِي الْمَشْرِقَ (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) stood up to deliver a sermon. He (peace be upon him) pointed with his hand towards the east and said: "The trial will emerge from here, from where the horn of Satan will appear."
