حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ: قَرَأَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: {يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ إِذَا طَلَّقْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ فَطَلِّقُوهُنَّ} [الطلاق: ١] " فِي قُبُلِ عِدَّتِهِنَّ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) also recited this verse of Surah Al-Ahzab in this way: O Prophet! (ﷺ) When you people wish to divorce your wives, then divorce them at the beginning of their waiting period (meaning to divorce them in the days of purity, not during the days of menstruation).
