Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ نَعْلَيْنِ، فَلْيَلْبَسْ خُفَّيْنِ، وَلْيَشُقَّهُمَا أَوْ لِيَقْطَعْهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "If a pilgrim in the state of Ihram does not find shoes, he should wear leather socks, but he should cut them below the ankles."
