Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، وَعَتَّابٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الصَّبَّاحِ الْأَيْلِيُّ، سَمِعْتُ يَزِيدَ بْنَ أَبِي سُمَيَّةَ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ: " مَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْإِزَارِ فَهُوَ فِي الْقَمِيصِ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that whatever the Prophet (ﷺ) said regarding the izar (lower garment), the same ruling applies to the qamees (shirt) and shalwar (trousers) as well.
