حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُكَيْنٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مِغْوَلٍ، عَنْ أَبِي حَنْظَلَةَ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ عَنْ صَلَاةِ السَّفَرِ؟ فَقَالَ: " رَكْعَتَيْنِ ". قَالَ: قُلْتُ: فَأَيْنَ قَوْلُ اللهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى: {فَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ} [البقرة: ٢٣٩] ، وَنَحْنُ آمِنُونَ؟ قَالَ: " سُنَّةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، - أَوْ قَالَ: كَذَاكَ سُنَّةُ رَسُولِ، ، اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
Abu Hanzalah says that I asked Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) about the prayer during travel. He replied: "During travel, the prayer is two rak'ahs." We said: "But now there is safety and security everywhere, while Allah Almighty says: 'If you are in fear?'" He replied: "This is the Sunnah of the Prophet (ﷺ)."
