حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ (١) : " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ حَذْوَ مَنْكِبَيْهِ حِينَ يُكَبِّرُ، وَيَفْتَتِحُ الصَّلَاةَ، وَحِينَ يَرْكَعُ، وَحِينَ يَسْجُدُ " (٢)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Prophet (ﷺ) began the prayer by saying the takbeer, and when he performed bowing and prostration, he would raise his hands up to the level of his shoulders.
