Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، وَيَعْقُوبُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " إِنَّمَا النَّاسُ كَالْإِبِلِ الْمِائَةِ، لَا تَكَادُ تَجِدُ فِيهَا رَاحِلَةً "، وَقَالَ يَعْقُوبُ: " كَإِبِلٍ مِائَةٍ، مَا فِيهَا (١) رَاحِلَةٌ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying: "The example of people is like that of one hundred camels among which not even one is fit for riding."
