حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ (٣) عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْعَاصِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " الْيَدُ الْعُلْيَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْيَدِ السُّفْلَى " قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ: " فَلَمْ أَسْأَلْ عُمَرَ فَمَنْ سِوَاهُ مِنَ النَّاسِ " (٤)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: "The upper hand is better than the lower hand." Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that because of this, I do not ask Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) or any other person for anything.
