Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a man stood up and asked the Prophet (ﷺ), "O Messenger of Allah! In the state of Ihram, which clothes do you permit us to wear?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "A Muhrim (person in Ihram) cannot wear a shirt, trousers, turban, or leather socks, except if he does not find shoes. Whoever does not find shoes should cut the leather socks below the ankles and wear them. Likewise, a cap or any cloth dyed with wars (a kind of grass) or saffron, a Muhrim cannot wear. And a woman, in the state of Ihram, should not cover her face with a veil or wear gloves on her hands."
