حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ، مَوْلًى لِقُرَيْشٍ، سَمِعْتُ جَدِّي، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ لَا يَنَامُ إِلَّا وَالسِّوَاكُ عِنْدَهُ، فَإِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ بَدَأَ بِالسِّوَاكِ " (٢)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to keep a miswak with him even while sleeping, and when he would wake up, the first thing he would do was use the miswak.
