Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى رَجُلًا سَاقِطًا يَدَهُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ، فَقَالَ: " لَا تَجْلِسْ هَكَذَا، إِنَّمَا هَذِهِ جِلْسَةُ الَّذِينَ يُعَذَّبُونَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (ﷺ) saw a man who had let his hand hang down during prayer. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Do not sit like this, this is the way of sitting of those who are being punished."
