Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ (٢) ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُوَيْسٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، وَحَمْزَةَ، ابْنَيْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَهُمَا أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " الشُّؤْمُ فِي الْفَرَسِ، وَالْمَرْأَةِ، وَالدَّارِ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: "Ominousness could be in three things: in a horse, in a woman, and in a house."
