Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " صَدَقَةُ الْفِطْرِ عَلَى كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ صَغِيرٍ أَوْ كَبِيرٍ، حُرٍّ أَوْ عَبْدٍ، ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَى صَاعٌ مِنْ تَمْرٍ أَوْ صَاعٌ مِنْ شَعِيرٍ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Zakat al-Fitr of one sa’ of dates or one sa’ of barley is obligatory upon every Muslim, male and female, free and slave, young and old."
