Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that initially the prayers were fifty, the command for ghusl after janabah was to perform it seven times, and in case urine got on the clothes, the command was to wash it seven times. Upon the continuous request of the Prophet (ﷺ), the number of prayers was reduced to five, ghusl after janabah was made only once, and washing the urine-affected garment was also prescribed only once.
