حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ-[قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ] : وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ (١) ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ غِيَاثٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: " كُنَّا نَشْرَبُ وَنَحْنُ قِيَامٌ، وَنَأْكُلُ وَنَحْنُ نَمْشِي عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that during the blessed era of the Prophet (ﷺ), we used to stand and drink water, and eat food while walking (because during the preoccupation of jihad, where was the time for eating and drinking?).
