Translation

English translation

Salim (may Allah have mercy on him) says that Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to perform the night prayer and witr on his mount, and he did not mind in which direction it was facing. The narrator says that I have also seen Salim doing the same, and Nafi’ told me that Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to relate this from the Prophet (ﷺ).
