حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، سَمِعْتُ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ سَلْمَانَ، يُحَدِّثُ فِي بَيْتِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ قَالَ: " حَفِظْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَشْرَ رَكَعَاتٍ سِوَى الْفَرِيضَةِ: رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الظُّهْرِ، وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ، وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ، وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْغَدَاةِ " (٣)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that I have memorized from the Prophet (ﷺ) ten rak‘ahs apart from the obligatory prayers: two rak‘ahs before the Zuhr prayer and two after it, two rak‘ahs after Maghrib, two rak‘ahs after ‘Isha, and two rak‘ahs before the Fajr prayer.
