حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا هُرَيْمٌ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ تُحْمَلُ مَعَهُ الْعَنَزَةُ فِي، ، الْعِيدَيْنِ فِي أَسْفَارِهِ، فَتُرْكَزُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ، فَيُصَلِّي إِلَيْهَا " (١)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that on the occasions of the two Eids, during travel, a spear would be taken along with the Prophet (ﷺ), which would be planted in front of the Prophet (ﷺ), and making it a sutrah, the Prophet (ﷺ) would lead the prayer.
