حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ، أَنَّ أَبَا الْمَلِيحِ قَالَ لِأَبِي قِلَابَةَ: دَخَلْتُ أَنَا وَأَبُوكَ عَلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ فَحَدَّثَنَا أَنَّهُ، دَخَلَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " فَأَلْقَى لَهُ وَسَادَةً مِنْ أَدَمٍ، حَشْوُهَا لِيفٌ فَلَمْ أَقْعُدْ عَلَيْهَا بَقِيَتْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ " (٤)، ،
Translation
English translation
Khalid al-Khadda’ says that once Abu al-Malih (may Allah have mercy on him) said to Abu Qilabah (may Allah have mercy on him) that I and your father were present in the service of Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), and he narrated to us this hadith: that he was present in the service of the Prophet (ﷺ), so the Prophet (ﷺ) presented him with a leather cushion filled with palm fibers, but I did not sit reclining on it, and that cushion remained lying between me and the Prophet (ﷺ).
