Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Prophet (ﷺ) returned from the Battle of Uhud, the women of the Ansar began to weep over their husbands who had been martyred. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "There is no one to weep for Hamza." So some women from the Ansar came and began to weep over Hamza (may Allah be pleased with him). Then the Prophet (ﷺ) fell asleep, and when he woke up, those women were still weeping in the same way. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Alas for them, are you still sitting here and weeping? Tell them to go back, and after today, do not weep over anyone who dies."
