حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ، سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَنْ كَانَ مِنْكُمْ مُلْتَمِسًا، فَلْيَلْتَمِسْ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ، وَإِنْ ضَعُفَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَوْ غُلِبَ، فَلَا يُغْلَبْ عَلَى السَّبْعِ الْبَوَاقِي " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Whoever seeks Laylat al-Qadr should seek it in the last ten nights; if he is unable or becomes weak, then he should not let the last seven nights overpower him."
