حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي قَوْلِهِ " {كَشَجَرَةٍ طَيِّبَةٍ} [إبراهيم: ٢٤] قَالَ: " هِيَ الَّتِي لَا تَنْفُضُ وَرَقَهَا " وَظَنَنْتُ (١) أَنَّهَا النَّخْلَةُ (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said regarding «كشجرة طيبة» that it is the tree whose leaves do not fall, and I think that it is the date-palm tree.
