Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى صَبِيًّا قَدْ حُلِقَ بَعْضُ شَعَرِهِ وَتُرِكَ بَعْضُهُ فَنَهَى عَنْ ذَلِكَ وَقَالَ: " احْلِقُوا كُلَّهُ، أَوِ اتْرُكُوا كُلَّهُ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) saw a child whose some hair had been cut and some had been left. The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade this and said: "Either shave all the hair of the head or leave all of it."
