حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، أَنْهُ سَمِعَ أَبَاهُ مُحَمَّدًا، يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَا زَالَ جِبْرِيلُ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُوصِينِي بِالْجَارِ، حَتَّى ظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ سَيُوَرِّثُهُ - أَوْ قَالَ: خَشِيتُ (١) أَنْ يُوَرِّثَهُ - " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Jibreel kept advising me regarding the neighbor so continuously that I began to think he would make him an heir."
