حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، كُنْتُ مَعَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَا وَرَجُلٌ آخَرُ، فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ: اسْتَأْخِرَا فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِذَا كَانُوا (١) ثَلَاثَةً فَلَا يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ وَاحِدٍ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
Abdullah bin Dinar (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once I and another man were with Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them). A man came, so Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) said to both of us: "Move back a little, because the Prophet (ﷺ) said: If there are three people, then two should not whisper to each other leaving the third one out."
