Translation
English translation
Abdullah bin Abi Mulaika narrates that Amir Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) once came to Makkah Mukarramah and entered the House of Allah (the Ka'bah), and he sent a message to Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) asking: "In which part of the House did the Prophet (ﷺ) pray?" He replied: "Directly in front of the door of the Ka'bah, between two pillars." In the meantime, Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived and knocked loudly on the door. When the door was opened, he said to Amir Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him): "You knew that I also knew this matter just as Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) did (so why did you ask him about it?) The real issue is that you are jealous of me."
