Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ، سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَنْ كَانَ مُلْتَمِسَهَا (٣) فَلْيَلْتَمِسْهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ، فَإِنْ عَجَزَ أَوْ ضَعُفَ،، ، فَلَا يُغْلَبْ عَلَى السَّبْعِ الْبَوَاقِي " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Whoever seeks Laylat al-Qadr should seek it in the last ten (nights); if he is unable or becomes weak, then he should not be overcome regarding the last seven nights."
