Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّ الَّذِي يَجُرُّ ثَوْبَهُ مِنَ الْخُيَلَاءِ، لَا يَنْظُرُ اللهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever drags his clothes on the ground out of arrogance, Allah will not look at him with mercy on the Day of Resurrection."
