Translation

English translation

Yahya bin Rashid says that we were ten men from the people of Sham who set out with the intention of Hajj and reached Makkah Mukarramah. Then we went to Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them), he came and said: I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: Whoever intercedes in a matter where Allah has prescribed a punishment, it is as if he has opposed Allah. Whoever dies in debt, his debt will not be paid with dirhams and dinars, but with good and bad deeds. Whoever argues while being in the wrong, and he knows himself to be in the wrong, remains in Allah’s anger until he withdraws from that matter. And whoever says something about a Muslim that is not in him, Allah will make him stay at the place of the pus of the people of Hell until he refrains from saying that.
