English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) had a gold ring made, and he would turn its stone towards the palm of his hand. The people also had rings made, upon which the Prophet (ﷺ) threw it away, and the people also removed and threw away their rings. Then the Prophet (ﷺ) had a silver ring made, with which he would seal (letters), but he did not wear it.
