Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade Nikah Shighar (exchange marriage). Imam Malik (may Allah have mercy on him) says that Nikah Shighar means that a man says to another, "Marry your daughter to me and I will marry my daughter to you."
