Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَوْ يَعْلَمُ النَّاسُ مَا فِي الْوَحْدَةِ، مَا سَارَ رَاكِبٌ بِلَيْلٍ أَبَدًا " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "If people knew the harm of traveling alone, then no one would travel alone at night."
