Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا تَدْخُلُوا عَلَى هَؤُلَاءِ الْقَوْمِ الْمُعَذَّبِينَ أَصْحَابِ الْحِجْرِ، إِلَّا أَنْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ، فَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ فَلَا تَدْخُلُوا عَلَيْهِمْ، أَنْ يُصِيبَكُمْ مَا (١) أَصَابَهُمْ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Enter the lands of the punished nations weeping; if you are not able to weep, then do not go there, for I fear that the same punishment may befall you as befell them."
