حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شِرْكًا لَهُ فِي مَمْلُوكٍ، فَقَدْ عَتَقَ كُلُّهُ، فَإِنْ كَانَ لِلَّذِي أَعْتَقَ نَصِيبَهُ مِنَ الْمَالِ مَا يَبْلُغُ ثَمَنَهُ فَعَلَيْهِ عِتْقُهُ كُلُّهُ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever frees his share of a slave, then that slave will become completely free. Then, if the one who freed him possesses enough wealth to cover his full price, it is incumbent upon him to free him completely."
