Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، وَحَجَّاجٌ قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، سَمِعْتُ أَبَا إِسْحَاقَ، وَقَالَ حَجَّاجٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ: عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ وَثَّابٍ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ: عَنِ الْغُسْلِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ، فَقَالَ: " أَمَرَنَا بِهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
Yahya bin Wathab says that I asked Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) about the Ghusl (ritual bath) of Jumu'ah, so he replied that the Prophet (ﷺ) commanded us to do it.
