قَالَ: وَجَدْتُ فِي كِتَابِ أَبِي (٢) حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ (٣) قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، تُصِيبُنِي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ الْجَنَابَةُ، فَقَالَ: " اغْسِلْ ذَكَرَكَ ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأْ ثُمَّ ارْقُدْ " (٤)، °
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): O Messenger of Allah! If I become impure at night and wish to sleep before performing ghusl, what should I do? The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Wash your private parts, perform ablution as you do for prayer, and then go to sleep."
