حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، وَحَجَّاجٌ، الْمَعْنَى، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، - قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ: مِنْ بَنِي أُمَيَّةَ - قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ - قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ: الْأُمَوِيَّ -، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، وَرَأَى رَجُلًا يَعْبَثُ فِي صَلَاتِهِ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ: لَا تَعْبَثْ فِي صَلَاتِكَ، وَاصْنَعْ كَمَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصْنَعُ قَالَ: مُحَمَّدٌ " فَوَضَعَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ فَخِذَهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى الْيُسْرَى، (٢)، ، وَيَدَهُ الْيُسْرَى عَلَى رُكْبَتِهِ الْيُسْرَى، وَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى الْيُمْنَى، وَقَالَ بِإِصْبَعِهِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
Once, Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) saw a man playing during prayer. Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said to him: Do not play during prayer, and do as the Prophet (ﷺ) used to do. The narrator says that then Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) placed his right thigh over his left, his left hand on his left knee, and his right hand on his right knee, and began to point with his finger.
