حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، حَدَّثَنِي حَنْظَلَةُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: وَأَتَاهُ أُسَامَةُ وَقَدْ لَبِسَهَا، فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: أَنْتَ كَسَوْتَنِي، قَالَ: " شَقِّقْهَا بَيْنَ نِسَائِكَ خُمُرًا،، ، أَوِ اقْضِ بِهَا حَاجَتَكَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the service of the Prophet (ﷺ) wearing a silk garment. When the Prophet (ﷺ) saw him, he said, "You are the one who made me wear it." The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Tear it and distribute it as head coverings among your women, or fulfill your need with it."
