Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ (١) ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْقَزَعِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade «قزع». The meaning of «قزع» is that when shaving a child's hair, some hair is cut and some is left.
