حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ يَعْنِي التَّيْمِيَّ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ: أَنَهَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ " قَالَ: وَقَالَ طَاوُسٌ: " وَاللهِ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْهُ " (١)، ،

Translation

English translation

Tawoos says: I asked Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), "Did the Prophet (ﷺ) forbid nabidh (fermented drink) made in pitchers?" He replied: "Yes!" Tawoos says: "By Allah! I have heard this myself."
