حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا يَزَالُ هَذَا الْأَمْرُ فِي قُرَيْشٍ مَا بَقِيَ مِنَ النَّاسِ اثْنَانِ " قَالَ: وَحَرَّكَ إِصْبَعَيْهِ يَلْوِيهِمَا هَكَذَا (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "The caliphate will remain among the Quraysh as long as two men (are united and in agreement)." And the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) gestured with his hand and moved his two fingers.
