Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever keeps a dog that is neither for guarding fields, nor for guarding livestock, nor a hunting dog, then his reward will decrease by one qirat every day." I asked Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both): If someone has a dog in his house and I am compelled to go there, what is the ruling? He replied: The sin will be upon the owner of the house, who is the owner of the dog.
