Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that during the blessed era of the Prophet (ﷺ), we used to say that the best among the people is the Prophet (ﷺ), then Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), then Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), and Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) was granted three virtues, and each of these virtues is more beloved to me than red camels: the Prophet (ﷺ) married his daughter to him and he had children from her; the Prophet (ﷺ) ordered all the doors of the Prophet’s Mosque to be closed except his door; and on the day of the Battle of Khaybar, he (the Prophet) gave him the flag.
