English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) camped in the valley of Namirah in the plain of Arafat. When Hajjaj bin Yusuf martyred Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him), he sent a messenger to Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) to ask at what time the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) would depart on that day (the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah). He replied, "When we depart from here, it will be at that very hour." Upon hearing this, Hajjaj sent a man to observe at what time Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) would depart. When Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) intended to depart, he asked, "Has the sun set?" The people replied, "No." After a short while, he asked again, and the people replied, "Not yet." When the people said that the sun had set, he departed from there.
