حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ تَوْبَةَ الْعَنْبَرِيِّ، عَنْ مُوَرِّقٍ الْعِجْلِيِّ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ: أَتُصَلِّي الضُّحَى؟ قَالَ: لَا. قُلْتُ: صَلَّاهَا عُمَرُ؟ قَالَ: لَا. قُلْتُ: صَلَّاهَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ؟ قَالَ: لَا. قُلْتُ: أَصَلَّاهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَ: " لَا إِخَالُهُ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
Muraq ‘Ajli (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I once asked Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), “Do you perform the Duha prayer?” He said, “No.” I asked, “Did ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) perform it?” He replied, “No.” I asked, “Did Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) perform it?” He replied, “No.” I asked, “Did the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) perform it?” He replied, “I do not think so (that he used to perform it).”
